Drawing with Condensation

Drawing with Condensation is the result of the Machines for Drawing studio run by Nadia Wagner and Tega Brain for second year students. Our site was in Kensington, a small suburb near Central Station in Sydney, and within this site we created small machines to carefully document ephemeral qualities such as wind, water, temperature, and traffic flow. The aim of the exercise was to interrogate the site with a gentle hand in order to understand and convey the intangible elements that make space and place.  The drawings created are truely unique as angency is lost when one gives over control to exterior forces.
